Marianna's Experience

The day finally came. I was going to my first 98º concert with my best friend and her sister. We also had 3 extra tickets to bring others but they didnt have great seats like ours. They had a autograph signing at Roosevelt Field Mall, but me and my best friend were too busy getting our hair done at my mom's job. So around 6-6:30 we get to Jones Beach Amphitheatre and they're alot of people but not as much I expected. Alot came with they're boyfriends. It's an outdoor event. It was very cold! They were handing out free cd's, blank cd's, pringles chips etc... The local radio station KTU(103.5) was there as well. So around 7:30 the opening acts came on. Some girl name Jill, she reminded me of Britney Spears at the superbowl. Then P.Y.T. came out. I saw them 2 years ago when *N Sync performed at Jones Beach. I don't like them but many were screaming for them. Around 9:00 p.m. 98º were getting ready to come out. My best friend was bringing the others down to our seats, we were sooo lucky that we had empty seats behind us. We also had company seats in front of us too. Everytime we would move up. We had about 15- 20th row, but all the way to the right. They opened up with "The Way You Want Me To." OMG! I never knew they can be this hot! I also saw Nicky's tattoo. I don't like it at all! Even if later on you won't be with 98º, it's a memory, it's a symbol that he was in that group, representing them. They were all hot!!! They also performed "Do You Wanna Dance," it's alright but not one of my favorites. I realized that Justin sang too. They also played my favorite song "Heaven's Missing An Angel" It was off of their first album "98 Degrees" I had a lighter with me because I wanted to wave it around like in a rock concert, but it was soo windy, I couldn't light it up. They also sang "Invisible Man" from the first album. From "98 Degrees and Rising" they sang my favorite "I Do." They sang "The Hardest Thing" at the end. They sang "Una Noche" first and they said goodbye and people started leaving. Once they started singing "The Hardest Thing" everyone ran back to their seats. Better for me and my friends we went closer. At one point while Nicky was singing some girl threw a glowy necklace on stage and hit Nicky. It was so funny! OMG! I was hysterically laughing! But it was kinda mean because he didnt know what it was. He didnt expect it! Someone just threw something and he missed his note too. But it didnt sound bad. Lol it was too funny! Everyone in the group took time introducing the next song. So Drew came out introducing a song, I dont remember what song but it got so quiet and me and my best friend screamed sooo loud and I mean we really screamed. My best friend has a very loud scream and it was really loud. He turned to us and he was still talking and we were still screaming. We cut him off a couple of times, because we would stop and he would continue and we would start screaming again. I was freaking out because Drew looked at us lol! I wanted to meet them but next time because this was an amazing concert! I recommend you to go see 98º in concert when you get a chance to! What really shocked me was the people. I mean Jones Beach isnt that big but they fit alot of people. The whole floor/orchestra was full, the first level too but then the second only the middle section was full. Then at the top top seats where you take a balcony was empty! Completely empty! It was sad because not alot of people where there. They had 3 costume changes, they came out first with torn clothes and cargos. Army colors! They wore white after. All white for mostly the slow songs! Then they wore black and red outfits! Nicky wore a red shirt and black leather pants, so did Jeff and Drew wore red pants and a black shirt. Justin wore all black. They all looked soo good! Here is the set list but its not in order.
