RENT f/ Drew Lachey
On October 5, 2004, I went to see
Rent on Broadway. At the time, I was working in Eastern PA and my parents
were on vacation visiting, and we went to NYC for a few days. At the last
minute we decided it would be nice to see a show, and since Drew was in Rent
well we'd just have to go see that! We found some school discount tickets
and were able to get three tickets. The tickets we got were third
row! I was so excited when I realized I'd get to see Drew up close!
The show started around 7:30 or so and we got there a bit early. My
excitement and anticipation was building. By this time it had been so long
since I had seen 98 Degrees. Good thing my parents understand (they still
of course think I'm nuts, but they understand it and humor me probably more than
they should). So we got to our seats finally. Wow, they were really
good! Just to the right of the stage in the 3rd row, really nice.
The show started with Drew. He looked so cute! Not typical hottie
Drew though. So, this is where the whole night gets a little fuzzy.
Drew was on stage pretty much the entire show, thus it was really hard for me to
follow the story and all because I was too busy drooling over Drew. He
sounded so good! As the lead, Mark, Drew has a lot of singing to do.
Really, he was excellent. The rest of the cast was so good as well.
My parents thoroughly enjoyed the evening and so did I (of course!). If
you have the chance to see Drew in this show, I highly recommend you do.
