1/29/2004 Jeff to record a duet
Jeff will be recording two songs with
Malaysian singer Arnieza Amir. Check out the article below for more

CALIFORNIA, here she comes! Yes, newcomer Arnieza Amir is off to Los Angeles
to record not one – but two duets with 98 Degrees vocalist Jeff Timmons.
She is scheduled to fly there at the end of this month and stay for a couple
of weeks.
“I am so nervous but excited at the same time. When a greenhorn like me is
to sing with a member of a top US band, it’s scary,” said the 18-year-old
girl from Klang, Selangor.
Niza as she is fondly called, was recommended to Timmons’ manager by the
world famous pianist Jim Brickman who featured Niza as his guest singer when
he performed at Genting Highlands in front of 4,500 people last year.
It was an acid test for Niza. But at the end of the day, she was hailed as
having a voice of an angel by Brickman who expressed an interest to work with
her in the future.
Zezz Entertainment Group Sdn Bhd managing director Mohd Firhat Amat, whose
company Niza is signed to, said one of the duets would be included in
Timmons’ debut solo album while the other is for Niza’s follow-up effort.
“We are discussing with Timmons to tie up his first solo album with Zezz.
Hopefully we will distribute it in this region,” Firhat said.

1/29/2004 Nick signs acting deal with ABC
LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Pop
singer and "Newlyweds" star Nick Lachey has signed a deal to star in a
comedy or drama pilot for Disney's ABC network.
The pact, which could reach high-six figures, also includes a feature component
as well as the recently announced variety special Lachey and wife Jessica
Simpson are doing for ABC.
Simpson is already under a development deal to star in an ABC comedy pilot.
Lachey recently filmed a guest spot on NBC's drama "American Dreams,"
portraying a young Tom Jones. The episode is scheduled to air Feb. 15. He hit
stardom as a member of vocal pop quartet 98 Degrees. His debut solo album,
"SoulO," was released in November.
After a strong first season, Lachey and Simpson's MTV reality series,
"Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica," returned with a bang for a second
season last week, posting its most-watched episode ever with an audience of 4.7
million viewers.

Nick to appear on American Dreams

Nick Lachey had better get used to having panties thrown his way.
He's set to play Tom Jones and sing "It's Not Unusual" on the March
14 episode of NBC's "American Dreams." Also appearing in the episode
is Liz Phair, who'll perform "Walk in the Room" as Jackie DeShannon.
Both artists are slated to tape their parts January 21.
