If you

Drew
was quite a ladies' man from an early age. One year, I wanna say he was
in 6th or 7th grade, he and his girlfriend (not Lea at the time) had a
break between classes in the morning and would meet up in the stairwell
and make out. Every single day I'd come up the stairs and see them
smooching like little horndogs for at least a full minute, totally
oblivious to everyone around them. It was a riot.
Jeff has an
amazing ear for music. When the guys first got together, they did a Boyz
II Men medley, about 4 or 5 minutes long with a few of their big hits
and even some of the little interludes from "Cooleyhighharmony."
Jeff, who has very little musical training, sat down and figured out
each of the four parts, note for note. He basically transcribed these
songs in his head without writing or reading music or playing piano,
arranged a medley, then turned around and taught the other guys their
parts. He probably has the most natural musical ability of all four guys
- very talented dude.
Justin, as you
know, can sing very low. Back in high school, Nick and I were with a
small group of guys that was supposed to sing a Take 6 song ("If We
Ever") for a gospel choir performance. The problem was, we couldn't
find anyone to sing the bass part, which is ridiculously low. Our choir
teacher had pretty much given up and was going to have someone play the
part on an electric bass for the concert (lame!). Then, somehow, someone
suggested Justin. He sang the part perfectly and saved the performance.
That was how Justin came to be known as the studly rumbling bass that he
is.
Nick and Drew,
for reasons still unexplained, got perms when they were in 8th and 6th
grade, respectively. I don't think I have ever laughed harder in my life
than when I saw his curly hair for the first time. And, in case you've
heard about that or seen the yearbook photos, I'll throw in a bonus.
Actually, this is pretty interesting. Nick and I both fell for the same
girl when we were juniors in high school. Right after she was done with
each us, she dated a different guy - a Mr. Jonathan Lippmann. That name
should be familiar to all you hardcore fans. Pretty twisted, eh?
