Jeffrey Brandon Timmons
While other members of successful bands look to their major record
labels to support their solo careers, (Justin Timberlake, Nick Lachey
and Nick Carter) Jeff Timmons, founding member of the multi-platinum
selling group 98 DEGREES, is about to embark on his first solo venture
apart from the famous foursome without label assistance. Timmons' new
solo CD, "Whisper That Way," will be supported by a nationwide tour,
cyber-promotional campaign and a lot of miles across the country in a
35-foot Winnebago - without a major record label.
Recently, Jeff took a moment to answer ChicagoPride’s Twenty-One
Questions.
CP: Date of Birth & Birth Sign
JEFF: 4/30/73, Taurus
CP: What do you miss most when you
travel?
JEFF: I miss my family and friends
the most when I travel.
CP: How would you describe your gay
fans?
JEFF: Just as awesome and as
respectful as my straight fans
CP: What was your favorite book or toy
when you were a kid?
JEFF: My favorite book was "The
Alchemist," by Paulo Coehlo
CP: What is your "I'm turned on button"
(neck, ears, nipples, etc..)
JEFF: Believe it or not a sense of
humor turns me on more than the 10 or more errogenous zones I already
have.
CP: Describe your ideal mate
JEFF: My Ideal mate has a great sense
of humor, nice smile, and is a big career supporter.
CP: What is sexy?
JEFF: Sexy is a state of mind, not
appearance.
CP: boxers? briefs? both? neither?
JEFF: Boxers for sure.
CP: Your autobiography would be
called...
JEFF: Jeff Timmons...The guy next
door that made it big.
CP: What is something in your home that
would make a stranger think you were gay?
JEFF: Nothing...I'm definately the
average midwestern guy...ask my (openly gay) manager Michael.
Haha!
CP: What is something that might make a
stranger think you were straight?
JEFF: Disorganization, clothes on the
floor unfolded, etc, etc, etc.
CP: Would you ever eat something that
Jessica Simpson cooked?
JEFF: I'm not sure.
CP: What is your greatest regret?
JEFF: I have done some things I wish
I wouldn't have, but have absolutely no regrets.
The experiences help mold the person.
CP: What is your indulgence?
JEFF: My indulgence is music and
maybe a little ice cream.
CP: What are you superstitious about?
JEFF: Superstitious about many
things, numbers, dates, etc.
CP: What was high school like for you?
JEFF: High school was cool, but I
never fit in with one click because I tried to do so many different
things, sports, theatre, choir, speech.
So I was in a Schizophrenic click, which at the time sucked, but makes
me happy now.
CP: How do you spend your free time?
JEFF: Every minute with my two
children.
CP: What fictional character do you
most identify with?
JEFF: I guess any characther in a
book that is the underdog who overachieves.
CP: Who would play you if your life
story were a made for TV movie and why?
JEFF: I would like to play myself,
because I don't think there is an acotr crazy enough to get it right.
CP: What was your worst fashion
mistake?
JEFF: Wearing plaid boxers with an
all black gucci outfit to the MTV Video Music Awards. The "Queer Eye"
guys loved the outfit but, when they got a glimpse of the waistband of
my boxers they called me on it.
CP: Who looks better naked - Brittney
or Justin?
JEFF: Brittney
CP: What’s your favorite song on your
new album and why?
JEFF: Aside from the songs about my
children, Rainbow is my favorite because it a has a soulful retro feel. |
