SoulO Review from Entertainment World

Nick
Lachey-SoulO

Universal Records
I so wanted to hate this album
not because of Nick being in the boy’s band 98° but because he scored Jessica
Simpson. Now that I got that out of the way, I listened to the Album “Soul O” I
couldn’t find any reason to hate it other than a couple tracks sounded like
Timberlake…But look how many VMA's Justin won.
The albums has a great sound
to it’s like a cross between George Michael and Richards Marx on ballads and
fast tempo songs like his ventures with 98°.
Here’s the break down
of singles we predict that have hit potential.
-
Shut Up: 98° sound and should hit Top 20 (current single)

This I Swear: This will be the biggest single on the album
and should hit #1. Nick delivers a magnificent ballad about spending your life
with your soul mate. “This I Swear” will become one of those songs
that couples will want played at their weddings or high school dances when you
think you found that true love. (perfect record for fall when new romances
start)
-
Could You Love: I like this song once it get past the
intro…some one tried to be creative with a electronic intro that doesn't match
the song. The song is very catchy and has hit written all over it. Nick sings
this song like a breathy George Michael tune.
-
Can’t Stop Loving You: This song jogs my memory back to
George Michael hit “Faith”.
-
You’re The Only Place: If you
liked the sound current of Richard Marx records in the 80’s then you will
really like this song.
